Taylar is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans as well as her Bachelor’s degree from Dillard University. Originally from Oakland, California, Taylar is committed to supporting individuals, couples, and families in prioritizing their needs and creating a space where they can be at ease and truly authentic.
In her counseling practice, Taylar incorporates techniques from various theoretical frameworks, including person-centered, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. She strives to ensure that clients leave each session feeling heard, understood, and equipped with the tools to aid in their own healing.
In addition to her role as a practicing clinician, Taylar serves as the Behavioral Health Case Manager for Tulane University Athletics. In this role, she provides Division I student-athletes with innovative mental health and sports performance skills.
