Mark is a graduate of the University of Holy Cross, formerly Our Lady of Holy Cross College, with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Mark is both a licensed professional counselor (#2037) and licensed addiction counselor (#201). Mark has worked with individuals, couples and families that are directly or indirectly affected by substance abuse and/or mental health issues. Since 1981, Mark has worked in a variety of settings, including: outpatient, inpatient and residential. Mark uses a solution oriented approach to help clients develop skills that will allow them to choose not to use alcohol or drugs. The solution oriented approach incorporates techniques that are based in cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Mark also utilizes multi-systemic counseling techniques to address both relationship and family of origin issues.
