Listen as Terry talks about his journey to recovery from alcohol addiction at Palmetto Addiction Recovery Center in Lousiana. He has been through a lot and we are glad we helped her get back on his feet.

“Palmetto, for me, was a chance to restart my life. I’d gotten to a point in my life where I was hollow, I was operating on memories, I was putting up a facade. It was coming unraveled little by little and all at once. I didn’t realize, but when somebody came to me and said ‘We need to get you better,’ this was the place I ended up. Initially it was for a short stay; it ended up being 90 days because I felt like I needed that opportunity to get my life back on track and get a real severe problem solved so the rest of my life I don’t have to deal with that alcohol problem anymore, as long as I stay faithful to the program. The program here is not an easy program. Change at this stage in your life is not going to be easy, but it’s not complicated. There are certain things that you can do that will give you a substantially better life in 90 days. I took the opportunity to get it solved and to give myself the best chance not to have to deal with this the rest of my life.”
