Liz serves as Intake Coordinator at Palmetto Addiction Recovery Center. She joined the Palmetto team three and a half years ago as a behavioral health technician and was recently promoted to her current role. Drawing from her personal experience and time working directly with residents, she helps individuals and families navigate the beginning of the treatment process with understanding and compassion. She is especially grateful for her coworkers and the support and connection they bring to Palmetto each day.
Her connection with Palmetto began five years ago when she completed a 90-day residential treatment program for drug and alcohol addiction. Palmetto was the first and only treatment center she attended, and she has remained in recovery ever since. During her time in treatment, she was a member of counselor Johelen Kennard’s first small group. Her journey from receiving care at Palmetto to helping others begin their own recovery has given her work special meaning.
Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. A native of South Louisiana, she is proud of her Cajun roots. Outside of work, she enjoys rescuing kittens and helping them find loving homes. She is always ready to help one more.
