Dr. Alan Miller joined the Palmetto staff as spiritual counselor on June 1, 2010.  He is a graduate of Louisiana College in Pineville, and the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.  Dr. Miller received his doctorate in pastoral care from the Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and has more than 25 years experience in pastoral counseling and ministry.

He offers our clients assistance and encouragement in the spirituality of addiction recovery and works closely with the staff counselors, functioning as a resource person to the treatment team.  Alan and his wife, Sandy, an elementary school teacher, have been married for 24 years. They have three children, ages 18, 15, and 6.
